The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is seeking a qualified and motivated administrative assistant for the newly established Catalysis Theory Center headed by Professor Jens Nørskov. The Center has developed an exciting international work environment. You will be working with the Personal Assistant for the Center Director to manage the administration of the research center.

Primary areas of responsibility

You will be working on a broad range of administrative tasks in the center. The responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordination of activities for the senior scientific staff including management of calendar and travel
• Composing and preparing correspondence via emails/letters
• Planning of meetings, seminars and workshops
• Handling of invoices and reimbursements of travel and expenses
• Assistance to inquiries from postdocs and PhD Students
• Assistance and back up for the Personal Assistant to the Center Director

Our expectations of you

We expect that you have a strong background as a Personal Assistant/Administrative Assistant and as administrative support - preferably in an international setting. You have good communication skills and are fluent in both Danish and English - orally and in writing. You have experience with planning of meetings, seminars and workshops. You are also an experienced user of MS Office products.

We are looking for a person who has a positive attitude to new challenges. You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff and students. We expect that you can operate independently, multi-task, and ensure close follow-up on tasks. As a person you are outgoing and able to cooperate with both internal and external partners and thrive on a great variation of tasks. You are both organized and structured and create and maintain an overview while paying attention to quality, detail, and deadlines. You are loyal and treat confidential information with great care.

The appointment will be based on qualifications and the collective agreement made between the Danish Ministry of Finance with the Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or HK/stat (The National Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees) or relevant union.

The contract is offered for a five-year term.
