About the department Diabetes Manufacturing Development (MDev) is where our cutting-edge research is transformed to actual production of life-changing medicine. Here we strive to improve the production and analysis process, all to secure stabile delivery of high quality products in regulatory compliance to our more than 24 million patients all over the world. We are app. 140 project managers, chemists, laboratory technicians and specialists – all coming together to change diabetes. We drive the projects that define our future production processes and coordinate cross-department activities involved in up-/downscaling research findings into production. This includes production of active pharmaceutical ingredients for clinical trials, the establishment and validation of new production facilities and the transfer of knowledge, systems and analytical methods from research departments to production facilities. We lead complex, cross-organisational optimisation projects improving existing processes and analytical methods. These projects typically aim to reduce costs, expand production capacity and improve the quality of our finished products. You will be part of the MDev Project Office - a group of ten senior project managers, each with specific areas of expertise. The MDev Project Office is a major player in bringing new products to the market for people with diabetes - we drive the projects that define the future production in Novo Nordisk. The job Since your proficiencies and earlier accomplishments will be defining which projects you will lead, we have a range of opportunities awaiting the right candidate. You may work with facility validation, up-scaling projects, improvement of analytical methods or something entirely different, depending on your experience, knowledge and passions. Together, we will match you with projects that are relevant to your qualifications. Sometimes, though, you can expect to be challenged outside your specific areas of expertise, as you will carry responsibility in projects with a broad range of goals and means in a complex landscape of processes, structures and stakeholders. As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for securing well defined goals and success criteria for our projects. Together with key project members, you create project plans with appropriate levels of detail and submit these plans for managerial approval. When a project is approved, you provide clarity on responsibilities and expectations in your team. You set the tone when it comes to feedback procedures, meeting structure and the routines of co-creating. You provide timely and relevant updates on project status for all key stakeholders, reporting and adjusting for any deviations from your plans as you advance the projects. You will be working with people with many different backgrounds, across organisational levels and geography. Your operational base will be divided between our sites in Kalundborg and Bagsværd. Qualifications You need to have a strong grasp of the science behind producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Thus, we expect you to have a MSc level education from the life sciences – maybe you hold a degree in chemical engineering, microbiology, chemistry, or maybe you have another relevant background.
