Patients worldwide benefit from its leading multiple sclerosis therapies. Biogen Idec is looking for a new employee for their growing QC department, Analytical technology. The Analytical Technology team is focusing on transfer, validation, investigations, maintenance of existing methods and method development for new technologies. The QC AT group supports both biological and small molecules. We are currently looking for a scientist with solid experience in small molecule analysis. The job: As a scientist with small molecule experience you will be part of a dynamic and ambitious team of three scientists and one technician. You will be working in a strong scientific environment, where new compounds, commercial drug products and international manufacturers will be part of your focus. You will take active part in ensuring transfer of analytical methods and you find international environments inspiring. Areas of Responsibilities: •Transfer of test methods to QC and contract laboratories •Optimization and validation of analytical methods •Develop and implement system suitability and control criteria •Troubleshooting and participate in complex analytical investigations •Interact with contract laboratories across multiple regulatory markets •Interact with QC, analytical development, manufacturing and QA •Contribute to CMC sections of regulatory filings You will have daily contact to several different functions in the organization both locally and globally. All communication is in English. Thus it is crucial that you feel confident communicating in English. Your Professional Qualifications: •More than 5 years of relevant experience from the biotech or pharmaceutical industry •It´s important that you have gained great knowledge about small molecules •Solid working experience with various analytical methods like HPLC, dissolution, GC, LC-MS and KF titration •Minimum 5 years of working in a GMP environment •Strong English skills verbally and in understanding Your Personal Qualifications: •You are ambitious, energetic and like to deliver on time •You are motivated by complex technical challenges •You are good at building relationships, and collaborating with colleagues globally •You are robust and enjoy working in a busy and changing environment •Humor and team work are important elements in your working day •You have a positive and flexible team player, who still has the ability to work independently Your formal Education: You have a Master of Science in chemistry or pharmacy or other relevant area.
