About the department

Oral Finished Products QC (OFP QC) employs approximately 50 highly skilled and motivated employees, however, the department is growing rapidly during 2019. The department delivers analytical support to oral protein products used for clinical phase 3 towards launch of the product. After launch, OFP QC will continuingly be supporting the production of Oral Finished Products as well as prepare for new oral products, giving analytical support to Manufacturing Development. The department has recently been established and therefore, we are in an ongoing process of setting up and impacting working procedures.
 

The position

As Analytical Specialist you will be a part of a highly dedicated department and be responsible for the analytical development, improvement and validation of analytical methods securing innovation and compliance and analytical methods that is as front running as the oral projects. The analytical methods cover solid dose formulation, dissolution analysis and chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC). You will be responsible for driving different method related projects according to deadline while ensuring deliverance of high quality, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting of analytical equipment and be a mentor and role model for new employees, and you are expected to support other chemists and your senior colleagues in the lab, and approval of analytical results. 

The different tasks involve complex problem solving, being responsible for analytical methods and equipment to ensure GMP compliance, drive the implementation of requirements, take active part in inspections and audits, and secure focus on business targets. Furthermore, you will get to collaborate with colleagues from formulation, process development and other QC areas in NN to reach the best results. 

 

Qualifications

You have a Master’s degree in pharmacy or other similar life science educations, and have a solid background from a QC laboratory working in a GMP regulated environment. You have a minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working within analysis methods and problem solving. You have a high level of knowledge within analytical methods and registration files, ensuring the right balance between quality demands, authority demands and business needs. 

On a personal level, you enjoy working with people from different professional backgrounds across borders of Departments and functions, and in a team setup. You are dedicated to meet the team goals and contribute to a good team spirit. With your systematic approach, you can overview many tasks at the same time and work independently.
