Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S is looking for a service-minded and proactive area sales manager for our Shell & Tube Heat exchanger Business Unit. The Business Unit has the global sales responsibility for the product range Aalborg Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger. You will be a part of our motivated team working with sales, engineering and order execution activities. As our new area sales manager you will be responsible for proactive marketing and sales activities within your designated area – an exciting job with many challenges. In relation to our customer and our sales companies, it is essential that you can network and build partnership. You will be measured on your ability to increase the sales of our Aalborg Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger product range by creating long lasting customer relations and building confidence in our products. You will be responsible for: Key account for selected OEM customers: - Outgoing customer visits including promotions, presentations and negotiations - Developing sales and marketing activities, ensuring market penetration of the products - Search, select and develop new OEM customers -Sales budget responsible -Closing and systematically handing over the “order” to sales support and engineering Sales through Alfa Laval’s sales companies and sales support - Training and education of colleagues in the local sales companies enabling them to handle the Aalborg Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers in the sales process -Support the local sales companies in the quotation and order process -Sharing of market and customer knowledge with the local sales companies - Participation in exhibitions and fairs General sales support in the Heater Centre and internal sale - Preparing sales quotations and documentation based on incoming commercial and technical specifications and follow up - Supporting the sales supporters in the order handling process - Supporting the internal customers who are using the Aalborg Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers in other applications Experience and competencies You have a relevant education e.g. BSc Export Engineering, BSc mechanical engineer or marine engineer combined with a strong commercial profile Strong verbal and written communication skills in English – you are able to communicate with people at all levels Preferably you have a background in the maritime business or from the energy sector (boilers, power plants, pressure vessels) We are looking for a pro-active, flexible, self-motivating candidate with a high personal drive who feels confident in a multicultural business environment. You are a team player and you have strong interpersonal skills. A natural flair for business is a must. You have the ability to prioritise your time and work to meet deadlines and customer expectations with a working style characterised by systematic and structured approach. You are able to build and maintain confidence with our customers – influencing, presenting and networking. The position is located in Aalborg where you will become an important part of a strong team of qualified and motivated employees. You must expect to undertake approx. 40-60 travelling days per year.
