The Automation and Control group at the Department of Electrical Engineering seeks a highly motivated and proactive researcher with international orientation and high ambitions. The position is time limited to 3 years. The department conducts research within acoustics, antennas, automation, biomedical engineering, control, electric technology, physical electronics, power electronics, and robotics. An important part of this research is carried out in close cooperation with industry and international research institutions. Responsibilities and tasks The successful candidate should engage in research of advanced control, where activities of our group include control to obtain safe and reliable systems. Fault-tolerant control, fault-diagnosis and robust control methods are current subjects of our group. You will contribute actively to the theoretical and experimental research within the department including scientific publication of the research results. Large part of our research is done within industrial collaborations. You will become engaged in the interdisciplinary research and development at Automation and Control. You are expected to teach on BSc, MSc and PhD level and to contribute actively to attract additional external funding to the research area. Qualifications Candidates for an Assistant Professorship must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). Candidates should have research experience at an international level in the following areas: •Diagnosis, fault-detection and fault-tolerant control for linear, nonlinear and/or hybrid systemsp •Methods for control for linear, nonlinear and hybrid systems •Electrical Energy Systems and Wind Energy Systems Candidates with experience within teaching at MSc and PhD level will be preferred.
