Then you might be our new Associate Negotiator in the Negotiation and Contract Management department in Strategic Sourcing.
About the department
The Negotiation and Contract Management team drives key negotiations and contractual processes within Strategic Sourcing together with the category owners. Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the procurement of all raw materials, products and services related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production.
In Negotiation and Contract Management you get the opportunity to join an experienced team of 5 negotiators and learn how we work professionally with negotiation and contract management.
The job
As an Associate Negotiator, you will work independently with planning and carrying out negotiations with worldwide suppliers. You will together with relevant team across Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division secure that negotiations are conducted at a professional level and with the best possible result for Novo Nordisk. In the process, you will formulate a clear strategy and articulate the steps to achieve the negotiation objectives, seek adequate mandate, proactively identify solutions to contractual challenges and secure cooperation and involvement from relevant stakeholders. You will also be responsible for finalising the legal agreements together with our Legal team.
The position is for a 12 months period. You should expect international travel – 5 travel days during the year.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in law, commercial law or a commercial Master degree and have min 2 years of experience with negotiations and drafting contracts, preferably from a multinational organisation. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage. You have strong understanding of terms and conditions, as well as interest in developing your negotiations skills. You are able to identify contractual risks and suggest potential solutions with input from relevant stakeholders.
As a person, you are outgoing with a strong individual drive and dedication. As the job requires you to work with internal stakeholders and with global suppliers, we expect you to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain good work relationships with your stakeholders. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both oral and written English.
