About the department The department develops and applies various technologies for measuring biological activity, in addition to characterisation of production cell banks as well as immunoassays for in process analysis. We deliver analytical methods and results for the entire drug-development portfolio, within the fields of diabetes, haemophilia, inflammation, and growth hormone therapy. We work in cross-organisational project groups and have a strong focus on quality, planning and optimisation of our workflows. You will be part of team Haemophilia Bioactivity, consisting of 3 highly skilled scientists and 4 technicians. The team is responsible for delivering robust biological potency assays to ensure continued progress and success of our project pipeline. The department is part of CMC Drug Product Development, R&D, and is located in modern laboratories in Maaloev. The Job Your objective is primarily to consolidate the automation efforts and plans in the department, by identifying, implementing, validating and maintaining state of the art laboratory automation and software tools. This includes liquid handlers, ELISA robots and, automated pipettors. We expect you to work effectively with end users, vendors, colleagues and corporate IT to ensure that the right systems are implemented correctly. The right candidate will be trained in various analytical methods in order to understand the processes to be automated and, furthermore, to support the daily analysis work in the teams. In addition, you will receive training in cLean and engage your Lean thinking in developing the standards for assessing, purchasing and implementing semi-automated equipment. You will take part in cross-functional expertgroups, and as such, you will be a central player in our efforts to implement automated processes in our laboratories. Qualifications You have a university degree within the fields of biology, computer science or another relevant area. In addition, you have 5+ years of experience with lab automation, scientific software systems, computer system validation, and GXP regulations. Experience with bioanalytical methods, ELISA and project management principles are a plus.
