Would you like to use your technical Big Data expertise to play a key role in how we will conduct 1-to-1 engagement with consumers in the future? Your role is critical for a successful journey As Big Data Architect, you help ensure the start-up of an exciting Big Data journey, which will be the foundation for our next digital endeavour. Overall, you identify the technical solution and components and set up the platform, which involves participating in setting the agenda for the technical platform. Initially, most of your time is spent creating the foundation along with the Technology Department. As such, your role will include: Being owner and responsible for the technical architecture of the LEGO Big Data platform and corresponding link to the LEGO Enterprise platform Collaborating closely with Enterprise Architects to secure that functionality and design lives up to technical best practice and LEGO Business requirements Responsibility for reusing existing functionality and developing new solutions as well as using the right technology and architecture Participating in projects during blueprint, design, implementation, unit testing, performance and regression testing phases to ensure modularity, reusability and quality of designed and implemented components Govern and supervise changes and alterations to the LEGO Big Data platform Make a difference for the builders of tomorrow Taking on a new role in the LEGO Group as Big Data Architect, you will step into a culture that is famous for collaboration and creativity. Architect with a strong IT foundation and the ability to stand your ground The interest in Big Data in the organisation is immense, so your challenge will be to combine your strong technical knowledge with an ability to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape, prioritising, making decisions and sticking to them. To facilitate this, you: Are an experienced architect, preferably with an M.Sc. in Computer Science or similar combined with several years of Big Data or BI architecture experience Have a solid technical IT foundation, ideally with 1-1,5 full circle Big Data implementations in a hybrid cloud/on-premise setup Are able to challenge the business and have a general understanding of the processes and components that are essential for the business Have strong collaboration skills to ensure continuous stakeholder buy-in and to ensure proper cross-organisational alignment Communicate effortlessly in English Join the global family of LEGO In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you will collaborate across the LEGO Organisation.
