For our Blade Structural Design Department we are looking for a highly skilled Blade Integrity Lightning Engineer with strong knowledge of lightning protection systems. The Blade Structural Design Department is responsible for the design of new blades, development of core technologies, support to factories and warranty case handling. What are my responsibilities? · Design and validation of next generation lightning protection systems · Analysis of interaction between LPS and other blade components (de-icing, sensors etc) and structures · Ensure knowledge transfer operations to new designs · Manage projects with internal/external stakeholders and proactively maintain organizational interfaces as well as communication with customers · Maintain contact with certification bodies and ensure compliance with and information about certification requirements What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a master’s degree or a Ph.D. in mechanical, low voltage, power engineering or similar · You have minimum 3 years of experience from the wind or aerospace industry · You have a deep theoretical knowhow in the area of lightning protection systems and lightning phenomena · You have a solid understanding of FRP blade structures and materials · You have experience in high voltage test methods according to IEC standards · You have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate you results in a clear and convincing manner · You have a structured approach to your work and a able to handle simultaneous assignments without losing the overview · You are able to work independently and you can drive your own assignments · You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
