Then join the Water Utility segment in either Brøndby or Bjerringbro, consisting of product managers, business developers, application managers and a water utility competence centre. More specifically, you will join the newly created Business Development team consisting of 6 colleagues who are responsible for creating the strategic ambition, develop offering and leading business development initiatives to develop the water utility business. We are also commercial experts in new product launches and supports our sales companies, when needed, to ensure successful water utility sales. What is the job about? As our new Business Development Manager, you are responsible for developing the water utility business in Grundfos on a strategic, tactical and operational level. This entails working across the team to carry out short and long-term management of business development projects and execution in the Water Utility segment. You also work across the value chain to build attractive and leading solutions within different applications to increase customer satisfaction, Grundfos’ profitability and revenue growth. Another part of your job is to analyse customers, market, competitor trends and sales data. You contribute to developing new business models and change management for water utility as well as participate in developing strategies and value proposition, prices and market positioning. Your job takes you traveling approximately one week a month, which entails representing Water Utility at various events, meeting customers, as well as visiting sales companies and follow up on implemented solutions. “Being responsible for managing your own business development, your challenge is to gain approval and commitment from stakeholders all around the organisation to ensure a successful development and implementation. To succeed in your projects, you need to be able to network – to engage the right people in the right places at the right time,” Ole says. What do you need to apply? You have some years of experience with business development management and preferably from the Water Utility industry. Furthermore, you possess good project management skills as well as experience with stakeholder and network management. Preferably, you have a commercial Master Degree or business experience from a similar position or experience from a sales company. You speak and write fluent English. Danish is an advantage but not a prerequisite. “On a personal level, you are independent and able to drive your own projects and tasks. You have a mind-set, which enables you to think holistically while maintaining a focus on commercial business development. Finally, you have a proactive approach to tasks and are able to work with and through others to finalise tasks securing things happens,” Ole finishes.
