As part of an ambitious growth strategy we are looking for a commercially strong and structured Business Development Manager (BDM) with excellent communication skills. This position will have significant impact on the future of Fertin as we expand our growth journey into new categories with existing as well as new customers.

The BDM will support creating and executing the strategy and product pipeline within Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products. Including taking lead on a number of opportunities and projects within same. To succeed in this role, the BDM must work with all aspects of the business development process from identifying, evaluating, recommending, and negotiating to implementation.  The BDM must be capable of communicating with all levels internally and externally.  A positive, energetic and winning attitude is critical to succeed in this job as well as profound understanding of the importance of team-work as you will have many touch points across the organization. Travel days ~25. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Based on close collaboration with e.g. Marketing and R&D identify opportunities for concepts and products for development, out-license and supply
• Identify, prioritize and build relationships with potential new business partners
• Evaluate leads and opportunities for fit with Fertin’s strategy and business targets
• Prepare and present business cases incl. financial modelling and recommendations to management through Fertin’s stage gate process
• Lead negotiation of new product development, supply and license agreements, including preparation, approval and execution in close cooperation across all functions
• Following signing of agreements, ensure that terms are implemented and respected by the relevant parties, internally and externally in close collaboration with Key Account Managers and other functions.
• Handle and resolve or escalate issues that might escalate beyond the working teams during the execution of the agreements. 

Required Experience & competencies:

• Graduation in the upper quartile in a relevant Master degree, e.g., Business / Finance degree
• ~5 years of experience from a relevant position
• International oriented business-driven approach with financial expertise and adept of working with different cultures
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
