Business Development Manager, Business Building & Partnering, Bagsværd We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager within Business Development still curious to learn for our Opportunity Maturation team. The Opportunity Maturation team is part of Novozymes Incubation & Acquisitions function, which through innovation activities seeks rapid and radical growth platform generation for Novozymes. The role of the Opportunity Maturation team is typically to mature promising business cases outside or adjacent to Novozymes’ core business units until they have a proven business model and business plan. Novel thinking around market needs, innovation, and business models is often needed. Curiosity, critical judgement and agility are always required. Your challenge in this position will be to drive business projects from early stage commercialization until they prove to have significant business potential and scalability. The job is characterized by being outward oriented and driven by market needs, working closely with colleagues in e.g. R&D, legal, IP and Sales/Marketing, and with external technology- or commercial partners. When working in the early stages of commercialization it is important that you thrive with business uncertainties and can embrace changes; recalibrating strategy, goals and plans as we learn about the environment of a particular opportunity, and as the business setting develops. In this position you should be able and willing to take both project leadership roles and business development roles in a team, depending on the nature and competency needs of the project. You will be based in Bagsværd, Denmark. In this position you need to: - Have a Master’s degree and/or MBA - Have several years of commercial experience (Business development/sales/marketing/innovation) from a relevant global B2B or B2C business or from consulting - Preferably have experience within industrial bioscience /biochemistry - Preferably have negotiation/deal making experience - Have a proven track record as strong project owner and executer with a passion to see the business come alive – you deliver tangible business results - Be open-minded and curious by nature as well as an independent thinker with fearless integrity – you are not afraid to stand up to a challenge - Have strong interpersonal skills, understand how to leverage knowledge and experience of peers - Have excellent oral and written English skills Are you the next Zymer in our team?
