The segment Energy & Process is a newly formed and a very exciting part of the Alfa Laval organisation. We are supplying leading technological and commercial solutions to our customers in a dynamic and growing market place. The segment is responsible for setting the global business development strategies and provides products, process- and business support to our 55 sales companies in relation to Alfa Laval’s broad range of products and applications. The segment is active in structural growth markets and has five distinct Market Units covering Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, IMP (Inorganic Chemicals, Metals and Pulp&Paper) and Power generation. As our new Business Intelligence Manager you will get a challenging and demanding position with a high degree of freedom where one of the objectives is to further develop and implement our 2020 Segment Strategy, by an active involvement in developing the industry know-how and market intelligence. This intelligence is then the basis for supporting our existing growth business cases or for bringing new growth business cases forward. You will work on global business development opportunities potentially in the multi-million dollar range and coordinate all aspects of the evaluation. To achieve the objectives you will be supported by a strong management team and market unit managers. Your responsibilities: •Collect competitor information and develop accurate market share analyses •Liaise with Market Units and Sales Companies to identify and discuss Business Development opportunities •Create business cases, evaluate them and secure them through strong project management •Manage the growth program office, responsible for systematic follow-up and support of the Segment’s growth initiatives •Help the implementation of the Alfa Laval marketing process and support the Market Units in developing their marketing strategies •Attend data rooms in order to consolidate and present results Your Profile: •Approximately 10 years of experience in working in a Business to Business environment related to the Energy and Heavy industry Markets •10 years or more in a business analyst role, of which at least 5 years is in a business development role with sound knowledge of economic or financial analysis The person we are looking for is: •Visionary and innovative •A strategic thinker •Having a strong commercial mind-set •An excellent communicator and presenter •Characterized by strong project management skills •Analytical and methodical •Willing to traveling frequently Practicalities: You will be based in Søborg, reporting to Sammy Hulpiau, Vice President – Process Technology Division.
