Business Risk Implementation and Support (BRIS) Group Functions* is recently established and focused on bolstering our capabilities in the management of non-financial business risk. We will be instrumental in taking risk culture in Nordea to the next level, and by being fully integrated with our Group Function partners we will create lasting resilience and proactive compliance. We are currently seeking a candidate who is passionate about risk to lead our BRIS Group Functions IT team, and join us on our journey from establishment to excellence. *includes, but not limited to: IT, Finance, Treasury, Legal, HR, Group Risk, Workplace Management, Business Transformation, Group AML and Sanctions The position we offer As the BRIS Group Functions IT Business Risk Manager you will build and lead a small team of specialists, and play a key role in executing the strategic agenda of BRIS Group Functions. You will be responsible for the effective implementation of the Nordea group’s non-financial risk management framework in Group IT and IT Group Function divisions and you will work with BRIS teams from other business area IT divisions in capturing the consolidated IT related risk overview for top management. You will work in close collaboration with our IT business stakeholders, understanding their processes, and ensuring quality implementation of risk procedures and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities are: •First point of contact for our 2nd lines of defence (LoD), interpreting and adapting the framework objectives into quality policies and procedures, and coordinating input on business risk strategy and appetite for your IT divisions •You will work in close cooperation with the 2nd LoD (Operational risk and Compliance divisions), developing a mature division of labor between the organisations, and support our business in audit related discussion and activity •Lead and participate in risk assessment, risk and process control and mitigation activities, supporting and guiding the division in keeping a comprehensive end-to-end risk process overview •Incident reporting process of the division, ensuring quality reporting and performing analysis of the incidents to fuel learning •Coordination of business continuity planning, and facilitating the performance and documentation of business impact analysis •Support quality assurance and that 3rd party risk and external data centers are handled in accordance with internal guidelines throughout their lifecycle •Creating and delivering cyclical aggregated reports informing management on a full range of value added non-financial risk metrics including assessment and analysis of controls, mitigation, key risk indicators and risk appetite, creating transparency in our risk processes •Supporting the development of common best practise tools, processes, and process controls, performing risk management training and generating new inspirational approaches to deliver on building a strong risk management culture in Nordea •The role can be located in any of the Nordic capitals or Poland (Gdynia/Lodz), and will report to the Head of BRIS Group Functions. The qualifications you need •You have extensive experience in IT and IT risk management and have a solid understanding of IT processes, with an ability to create and follow through on strategy for implementing IT Risk Frameworks •Deep understanding of general IT controls and application controls (previous internal IT control implementation or control based IT audit work is a benefit) •Experience working with regulatory requirements and practises around business risk management (implementation of processes to meet new legislation requirements and knowledge of multiple regulatory jurisdictions are considered assets) •Solid understanding and experience with project work and project methodology required (project management experience and implementation of new IT systems is an asset) Key personal qualifications you have: •Strong
