Are you a dedicated knit buyer with a passion for sourcing, negotiation and product development? Then here is your chance to be a part of a dedicated and committed Buying- & Design team.

We are looking for an experienced and determined Buyer who can contribute to the continuous development of our products and brand within the knit category at SELECTED FEMME.

You will become part of a dedicated Buying- & Design team with a young and informal work environment with room for creativity and helpful colleagues. You will be part of a company with focus on growth and development in all aspects of our business.

The job

You will be responsible for buying and developing knit products in close cooperation with our design- and sales department. You ensure that we have the right quality, price and delivery, matching the SELECTED DNA and values and our customers' expectations. With good business acumen and negotiation skills, you develop new styles, negotiate price, quality and delivery with suppliers. Sustainability is a key value in our business, and in close cooperation with our sourcing offices around the world, you develop and optimize the good relations with international suppliers and stay updated on new qualities and possibilities in the market.

Your tasks will among others, include:

Develop and create collections in close cooperation with designers and suppliers
Establishing and maintaining strong supplier relations
Negotiating quality, price and delivery with international suppliers
Production and delivery follow-ups
Inspirational trips and supplier visits
Sourcing of new qualities in close cooperation with the sourcing offices
Continuous quality control.

Travel activity will be a natural part of the position to ensure closeness to the suppliers and fresh inspiration.

Qualifications

Educated Buyer
A minimum of 2-3 years of buying experience in the knit category
Solid numeracy and business acumen
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a person, you are independent, proactive and structured, enabling you to keep a sense of perspective in a fast-faced and creative environment. You possess good communication and collaboration skills, facilitating the development of good relations, both internally and externally. Furthermore, it will be a natural part of your job to take responsibility, inspire and motivate the team around you and to put new layers on the brand SELECTED.
