We are looking for a buyer for our indirect procurement department. The group is taking care of the procurement of goods and professional services. The position is based at our offices in Aalborg. Reporting to the head of Indirect Procurement, you will be working closely together with our internal stakeholders from our production sites in Denmark as well as procurement colleagues. What are my responsibilities? While working closely with your colleagues in the group, you are expected to support senior buyers, update material master data alongside having your own areas of responsibility. Furthermore: You will be commercially responsible for the spend in own areas. Implementing and follow up on strategies in close cooperation with main stakeholders Generating cost savings from negotiations, supplier management and contract management Follow up and maintain saving initiatives - also as a support to the group Act as Procurement Expert in our procurement system, OneSRM Drive process optimization in our day to day work – especially in handling material masters in SAP What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a relevant theoretical education within Business Administration, Procurement or similar combined with 1-3 years of professional experience from within the areas of procurement. You have good stakeholder management skills combined with a strong analytic sense and a desire for continuous improvement. You are an individual contributor who thrives in team work and an international environment As a person you can spot improvement opportunities, and have the personal drive to implement such improvements where possible. Your language skills allow you to communicate effortlessly in English and Danish. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know? Supply Chain Management – Indirect Materials is a staff function at Siemens A/S. SCM IM is responsible for the strategic and operational purchase of indirect materials and services for Siemens companies in Denmark. The department was established on 1 February 2010 and is functionally responsible to the CSCM organization in Northwest Europe (NWE). We e.g. work with procurement strategies, purchase contracts, operational purchases, procurement tools and processes. Additionally, we are responsible for finding and documenting cost savings with regard to budgets and forecasts as well as preparing reports and analyses for the respective managements of the Danish Siemens companies we service. At present our department has approx. 40 dedicated employees.
