Would you like to be an important part of one of the largest investment programs in Europe and help us implement our ongoing vision of supplying clean and reliable energy? Join us as soon as possible as Contract Manager in one of our CAPEX Contract Management departments. We are looking for 11 competent employees, ranging from Contract Manager to Senior Contract Manager. As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing processes, handling tendering and execution tasks within supply and installation of wind turbines, foundations, onshore and offshore substations, electrical equipment and cables, as well as leading contract managers in connection with procurement and execution activities related to our billion-kroner offshore wind projects. The CAPEX Contract Management departments are part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing very large and complex contracts. You will be independently responsible for handling specific procurement processes as well as contract management related to large construction contracts, including resolving contractual claims with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries at the right cost during the construction phase. You will underpin business activities by contributing with your expertise on procurement strategies, tendering, negotiation, contract management and cost-out initiatives in order to ensure that our procurement activities are based on ambitious targets, best practice and lessons learnt. Moreover, you will have experience with collaborating with many stakeholders from other in-house functions, such as engineering, legal, finance and QHSE. You will also have a proven record of delivering and managing large business-critical projects successfully. Together with your colleagues in the department, you will be in the front line when we execute our business strategy and pursue our ambitious targets to reduce the cost of electricity. You will join a department with a strong professional environment of more than 100 committed colleagues based either in Denmark or abroad. Your profile You have a relevant cross-disciplinary background based on a bachelor of science or a master of science degree in either economics, law or engineering. You have solid experience with procurement or sales, tenders and contract management, preferably from complex construction projects. It is essential that you have knowledge of supply contracts or construction contracts, preferably FIDIC, and EPC projects. In addition, you are able to document excellent negotiation skills. You also have knowledge of sourcing and procurement directives, preferably EU procurement law, or you will be prepared to participate in intensive training. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently, and that you have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey your messages to your stakeholders efficiently and smoothly and thereby ensure maximum collaboration.
