About the department

As Cardiologist and CV Project Lead for CV Market Development, you will be part of a newly established organization that works across our entire GLP-1 portfolio with the purpose of driving and executing global CV Market Development strategy and developing a cross-portfolio cardiologist strategy.

The CV Market Development team work to define and drive projects to increase awareness and understanding of how cardiovascular diseases cause disability and death for people with type 2 diabetes and how treatment can be improved.

The CV Market Development team is part of the Oral Semaglutide area in Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs, and the team works cross-functionally to develop new programs and build new capabilities for Novo Nordisk in the interlink between the cardiovascular and diabetes space. The area represents one of the most important future growth drivers for Novo Nordisk.

The position is based in Copenhagen (Søborg), Denmark, reporting to the Global Director for the CV Market Development team. 

 

The position

As Cardiologist and CV Project Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of a new cross-portfolio cardiologist strategy. 

You will be responsible of leading the strategy development through scoping of the project, setting goals, defining expected deliverables, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and priorities. You will develop the strategy in close collaboration with key stakeholders from across the organisation, and you will secure endorsement from relevant senior management boards and committees.

In developing and implementing the cardiologist strategy, you will also drive affiliate communication and guide our affiliate project managers on the new strategy to fulfil project goals as well as secure a successful strategy implementation. 

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to develop strong relationships and secure engagement across a complex environment of cross-functional stakeholders, internally and externally. Proactive communication and close collaboration across the organisation is a key success factor for this role!

 

Qualifications

You have a Master degree or above in a relevant area and a proven track record of driving large and complex strategy processes, change management or a new brand direction in a global framework in a diverse and cross-functional stakeholder landscape. Experience within cardiology and cardiovascular diseases  is considered a great advantage. 

You have strong people skills and are motivated by driving strategy development and change, involving stakeholders at all organisational levels. You have a high level of drive, initiative and persistence - and you are motivated by delivering results. Furthermore, you approach challenges with an analytical and structured mind-set. 

You are recognised as an experienced project manager, who leads high performing and engaged project teams. Your personal qualities define you as a self-starter and a great collaborator that always has a positive attitude – also in a changing and dynamic environment.

You have strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex subjects in an easy and understandable way, and you have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
