Then you could be our next Category Manager Finished Components at Danfoss Procurement. You will become part of a team of six highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and sparring with each other about processes and mechanisms, each being responsible for different product categories and placed at various locations. Develop supplier relationships and implement category strategies You will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of finished products at the right price, creating strong relationships with our suppliers and ensuring the best possible quality and cost optimisation of a given product. In addition, you will be working closely together with our Product Managers and the rest of the procurement organisation. To succeed in this job, you will need to thrive on juggling priorities and navigating in the field of multiple suppliers and stakeholders. Your key tasks will be: •Develop and implement category strategy and secure alignment with Product Managers •Deliver savings and process efficiencies through project execution and supplier negotiations •Negotiate contracts, e.g. FWA, supplier quality manual, etc. •Participate in logistics optimisation projects e.g. OTD, lead time etc. •Ensure supplier compliance with TS16494 You will report directly to the Head of Category Finished Products and will be offered a unique opportunity to apply and develop your procurement knowledge in a highly dynamic and fast-paced organisation. As our suppliers are situated around the globe, the position entails approx. 20-30 travel days per year. Strong negotiator with solid networking skills and procurement experience You are a proactive self-starter with high drive, ambition and a positive can-do attitude. You have a relevant educational background, e.g. a commercial education or an engineering background topped with solid commercial understanding, all backed by solid direct procurement and/or category management in an international organisation. It is essential that you are result-oriented and have strong negotiation skills. You have an analytical approach to your tasks and are able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams. You are also good at leading change and prioritising. You master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are able to communicate on all levels.
