Do you have experience in sourcing direct materials and are you great at collaborating with and managing stakeholders? Would you like to take on a crucial role in sourcing the material that is critical for producing the LEGO Brick? Facilitate great sourcing through your supplier platform As our new Category Manager in the Resin and Colouring team, you are globally responsible for providing a category of plastic granulates to our 4 manufacturing sites in China, Mexico, Hungary and Denmark. You will engage and collaborate with stakeholders across functions - e.g. in our Engineering and Quality business units - or at our plants to: Drive a category business plan within your area Set operating principles for your category Facilitate relationships with global suppliers to define and maintain a strong sourcing platform of global suppliers to enable our solid growth Facilitate great commercial agreements, including contracting with global suppliers Comply with our charters, guidelines and Planet Promise to leave as little a footprint as possible Nurture children's potential with your sourcing Because we are a family-owned company, we think long-term and we are aware that we are facing changes and challenges. This affects your category as your work is directly linked to supporting our growth. Being part of an international sourcing team of 7, you play a vital role for producing a toy that helps children think creatively, reason systematically and realise their potential. You will be based at our headquarters in Billund and travel 20-30 days per year to meet with colleagues at our production sites or to meet with our suppliers who are based all over the world. Direct Materials sourcing professional with great business understanding You will be challenged on your ability to balance stakeholder management with negotiations. So the most important skills in this position are your ability to collaborate and your business understanding. Apart from that, you probably: Have 3-5 years of experience in category management of and sourcing direct materials Are great at collaborating with and managing relations, vendors and other stakeholders, including negotiation skills Probably hold a BA or Master level education within procurement or supply chain, ideally combined with experience in planning, logistics, purchasing etc. from a manufacturing company Look forward to working and cooperating across cultures and functions Speak and write English effortlessly (Danish skills are not a prerequisite) Join the global LEGO Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment.
