Would you like to negotiate global contracts for suppliers’ transportation and warehouse solutions and use your experience within strategic sourcing? Here is your chance to be our lead negotiator and work with highly competent colleagues as you influence our future sourcing strategy for logistics. You will join the team of Indirect Purchase, where we are responsible for sourcing products and services, which are demanded by our organisation but not directly related to production of our main products - pumps. Placed in Bjerringbro, we are part of the global Purchase function with headquarters in Switzerland and colleagues at various locations around Europe. In Indirect Purchase, you join a relentlessly ambitious team, where your effort and ability to create results makes a difference and has a direct business impact. You refer to Purchase Manager, Indirect Purchase, Ninna Normand Helles. “We are a team with ambitions to take Indirect Purchase to an even higher level. Everything we do is centred on partnership as we work closely with each other, internal colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders,” Ninna says. What is the job about? As our new Category Manager, you are responsible for defining strategies for your sourcing categories and ensuring the strategic development. As such, you drive sourcing processes to identify potential new suppliers or optimise the existing supplier portfolio, and you take responsibility for projects and stakeholders involved. Moreover, you identify main cost drivers and conduct relevant benchmarks just like you analyse spend to identify savings potentials and to consider and compare total cost scenarios. Your main area of responsibility will be sourcing of logistics solutions and services, hence your primary supplier portfolio will consist of logistics providers, forwarders and warehouse suppliers. Besides, you will also have the opportunity to be responsible for sourcing projects related to other categories to support your other colleagues in the Indirect Purchasing team. And you will build strong relations with internal stakeholders in other Group functions in the company and with sister companies. “It is important that you continuously follow the trends and market development within your area of responsibility to be able to consider relevant benchmarks, market trends and cost drivers. Also, your challenge is to be able to operate with two reference points – one to your team and one to our stakeholders in Logistics,” Ninna explains. What do you need to apply? You have several years of experience within sourcing and negotiation, preferably from an international organisation, and specifically with sourcing of indirect service or products within logistics. It is of utmost importance that you have experience with creating strategies within the sourcing area and that you are a skilled negotiator. You speak and write English at professional negotiation level. “Your experience enables you to work independently as well as think analytically, and it gives you the confidence to negotiate at a strategic level. You are used to collaborating across functional and organisational levels and you are able to prioritise during a busy day. Finally, you easily develop and maintain trustworthy relationships, and you remain structured with a focus on getting things done,” Ninna finishes
