Airtame is looking for an experienced and talented Chief Financial Officer to be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and take responsibility with regards to strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.

 

Your Tasks:

Planning

• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business planning including financial projections and the matching of these with accounting
• Develop financial and tax strategies
• Manage the capital request and budgeting processes across all departments in the company

 

Operations:

• Build, train and support a financial team as needed to execute the requirements of the company
• Implement and coordinate all fiscal accounting, budgetary and reporting activities for the company
• Research and implement financial operational best practices
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the leadership team
• Insure the leadership team has access to credit cards and expense solutions to ease the admin burden
• Present the budget as needed basis to department heads and gather feedback/changes - you are the gatekeeper!
• Assist in the development and negotiation of contracts as required
• Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants. Provide support to team members as needed inc. tax guidance where appropriate
• Work with the Head of People to investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals

 

Funding:

• Monitor banking activities of the organization
• Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs
• Represent Airtame externally and own all auditor, banking and other finance relationships
• Lead core processes, including cash flow planning, budgeting and reporting
• Oversee, direct and organize bookkeeping, payroll, payments and accounting in general
• Be a key stakeholder in risk management

 

Requirements

• 10+ years relevant working experience
• Masters degree in accounting and/or finance
• Experience in building financial and reporting processes in medium to large tech companies
• A high drive personality which spreads to the team and creates sense of urgency
• An informal and transparent communication style that fits with a young and passionate company culture
• A genuine interest in new technology and finance
