Would you like to develop, design and construct our operational and maintenance facilities for our offshore wind projects? Join us and become Civil Engineering Manager in our team. You and your colleagues will be responsible for managing engineering and construction activities for our onshore O&M Facilities – such as office buildings, warehouses, training facilities, pontoons etc – from development, design and construction until handover to O&M. We are looking for candidates who are eager to make a difference and contribute to future wind projects. Civil Engineering Management is part of Wind Power, which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to establish time schedules, cost and resource plans for conceptual and detailed design as well as construction of O&M facilities including project scope statements ensure procurement of contracts in collaboration with the contract manager including preparation of technical requirements facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure that internal requirements are reflected in layout and design proactively ensure that engineering and construction works are carried out based on balanced contracts, and that they are optimised regarding time, costs and QHSE inform the project management of all significant technical issues, particularly risks develop contingency plans and be in charge of management of changes in the design and construction phases. You will also be responsible for ensuring that project deliverables are executed in compliance with company processes and standards and handed over to O&M. Furthermore, you will work closely together with Construction and O&M teams in identifying project opportunities. As O&M Facilities Civil Manager, you will report to project management and cooperate with the O&M team and the construction team. Additionally, you must ensure that all input and constraints from internal stakeholders are available in due time, from feasibility and concept studies to detailed design and construction follow-up. Your qualifications and core competences include that you have a degree in civil engineering or an education as building technician have a good understanding of what it takes to create a building layout which is user-friendly, easy to maintain and comply with the national rules and regulations have experience in managing project scope, budget, time and quality either as project manager or engineering manager hereunder FIDIC contracts have experience in managing/executing an engineering or construction contract have experience in design or construction of warehouses, office building or service/production buildings either as construction contractor or from an engineering consultancy have insight in all of the building project phases; concept evaluation, design and engineering and construction. Moreover, you have experience with communicating and working with internal and external stakeholders, and you are able to work under pressure and keep the established time lines and agreements. In addition, it is expected that your work approach is innovative and analytical with a focus on HSE and cost effectiveness.
