Would you like to interact with the European gas market on one side and short-term optimisation on the other, taking on the responsibilities as active Commercial Asset Manager in DONG Energy? Join us and become Commercial Asset Manager in Gas Portfolio Management where we manage and optimise the gas assets and gas contract portfolio. Flows & Optimisation is part of the Gas Portfolio Management department in Trading & Portfolio Management. In Gas Portfolio Management, we are responsible for DONG Energy's entire gas portfolio. This requires that we continuously optimise and trade our positions to maximise value from our assets, and at the same time continuously build and develop our portfolio. Flows & Optimisation consists of six Commercial Asset managers and two Market Operators, guaranteeing dedication, execution and responsibility. The department is part of Customers & Markets which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We handle the production from our wind farms and oil and gas fields to the energy exchanges and customers in Northern Europe, and we distribute electricity and natural gas to businesses and private customers in Denmark. You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Commercial Asset Manager in Flows & Optimisation, your primary responsibilities are to optimise single assets, gain extensive knowledge of specific markets and assist in developing the portfolio. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •handle individual contracts •ensure that we optimise contracts correctly through our systems •participate in shipper meetings etc. •develop our optimisation methodologies •report on our results. Your profile You have a strong analytical background and hold a master's degree in economics, preferably with a strong focus on math, statistics and econometrics, corresponding to such Danish degrees as cand.merc.aef., cand.oecon., cand.merc.fir., cand.merc.fsm., math/economy or equivalent, and you have excellent IT skills. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. Experience from a similar job or from the gas industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. We value a pragmatic and commercially focused attitude.
