Then have a closer look at this unique opportunity to become Vestas' new Commercial Development Manager. Commercial Strategy and Development is a new department reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The new department will work closely with Global Sales on commercial matters such as sales pipeline and portfolio planning, key account management, and pricing. The department is a central function that supports the CSO in managing the global business portfolio. The team will facilitate sales pipeline and portfolio planning as well as the annual commercial strategy process. In addition, the department will act as program office for strategic initiatives within the global sales organization. The team will work closely together with stakeholders in other central functions such as Global Sales, Construction, Supply Chain Planning, Service and Finance, and not least the regional sales business units (SBUs) in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific. Regional SBUs have full profit & loss responsibility and are therefore accountable for turnover and profitability, while global functions focus on deploying best practice, efficiency and performance across regions. Responsibilities: This position reports to Head of Commercial Strategy and Development, with whom you will work closely together with on facilitating the commercial strategy process. Within Vestas, a number of group functions report to the CSO as well as presidents for five regional SBUs in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific. The ambition is to establish and drive a focused process that facilitates commercial strategy development and deployment across group functions and SBUs reporting to the CSO. You are expected to contribute to various strategic initiatives such as the global account and global pricing programs or Vestas sales pipeline and portfolio planning. Specific responsibilities could be business analysis or concept development. In addition, you will be involved in making management presentations for CSO and Executive Management meetings as well as contribute to corporate strategy work within Vestas. To succeed in this role you are able to navigate across a matrix organization and connect to collaboration partners in other group functions and in the regional SBUs. Regional business units have the full profit & loss responsibility and are therefore accountable for achieving their turnover and profitability targets. Commercial strategy and development builds an optimal support structure helping the business units achieving their targets. Qualifications: Master level degree from business school or university 2-3 years of experience from a top tier consulting firm potentially combined with experience from a large international company Experience with strategy cycle management and strategy workshops is an advantage Competencies: To succeed in this role you are: A team player and high-performing person Highly analytical with a holistic approach and has strong problem-solving skills Pragmatic and goal-oriented, but without losing attention to the right details Structured and action-oriented and delivers within deadlines Navigating based on business acumen Confident with ability to build strong relationship and clearly communicate within a matrix set-up Experienced in managing major project work streams and workshop facilitation Strong skills in making presentation material Experienced in strategy cycle management would be an advantage It is essential that you inspire confidence.
