About the Position

For our Offshore business, we are looking for a Commercial Sales Manager. The offshore area is expanding its activities remarkably, and you will be part of a powerful team of inspiring colleagues.

What are my responsibilities?

The Commercial Sales Manager in our Offshore business manages the sales process externally and internally regarding commercial and contractual matters. He/she is responsible in the sales team for optimizing the financial and commercial outcome of projects and takes an active role in negotiating the commercial parts of the contracts.
Key responsibilities as part of the role include:

• Co-drive activities in the sales team together with the Sales Director and Sales Project Manager
• Contributing to strong competitive solutions by ensuring a high transparency and clarity on the
• customer’s business cases
• Support development of winning strategy with commercial inputs and estimations
• Support early customer engagement and collaboration including consult customers on commercial aspects, financing models, financial engineering and contractual details
• Contributing to bid generation in alignment with all stakeholders
• Commercial evaluation of risk and opportunity analysis in alignment with experts and stakeholders
• Prepare approval documentation, present and get approved sufficient mandate on legal, commercial and financial risks during approval meetings with senior management
• Clarification, annotation, mark-up and negotiation of T&Cs with commercial and financial implications
• Develop negotiation strategy on commercial terms and conditions, manage the process up to signing of the contract
• Lead commercial and legal negotiations
• Support preparation of project specific sales forecasts and budgets
• Ensuring that prices and conditions in the signed contracts are inside the mandate
• Participating in knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis by implementation, identification and registration of lessons learned
• Setting expectations, motivating and developing a high-performance environment

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Academical background in Business Administration, Finance, Legal or comparable education with professional experience of at least 5 years
• International project sales experience, preferably in the (wind) energy or construction industry
• Profound knowledge in legal aspects, project financing, commercial topics, calculation methods/finance models, contract management and contract negotiation
• Ability to understand customer commercial requirements and bid evaluation methods
• Strong awareness on commercial financial topics (bonds, escalation, currency, indemnities, liabilities, etc.)
• Team player with customer focus, initiative and assertiveness
• High degree of accountability and commitment
• Ability to build strong internal relationships across departments
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel and work in a global environment
• Fluent (speaking, reading, writing) in the English language
