Would you like to be part of an exciting project where we develop biologically based processes for handling household waste and non-food biomass and turn it into sustainable energy and recycling? Join us and become Senior Specialist in our Process Control & Optimisation team in New Bio Solutions. Together with your 8-9 colleagues, you will help develop control measures and characterise the processes for further optimisation and development for the processes related to our waste-handling technology REnescience and our non-food biomass conversion technology Inbicon. We currently operate a major pilot and demonstration facility in the Copenhagen area, and we have just taken final investment decision on building the first full-scale REnescience plant for handling household waste. Process Control & Optimisation is part of Bioenergy and Thermal Power, which has 800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. As Senior Specialist, your key duties will be to - optimise online measurements for use in demonstration-scale and full-scale plants for treatment of household waste or non-food biomass - validate online measurement tools by use of experimental data collected over time - determine points in the process suitable for online measurements - interact with universities on development of online measurement tools - interact with suppliers and identify suitable products. Your qualifications and core competences include that you - have a master's and/or a PhD degree in either chemistry, biotech, mathematical or a similar technical background - have more than five years of experience, preferably from the industry, and a proven track record in the field of development, optimisation and validation of online measurement systems for use in biological processes - have experience with data collection, statistics and modelling of data over time - speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way - are a team player who has a proactive, systematic and persistent approach to your work tasks and see documentation as a natural part of your job.
