For our Materials Team in the Blades Structural Design Department we are looking for dedicated and highly motivated composite engineers. The department is responsible for the structural design and coating of wind turbine blades. Work location could be in Aalborg (Denmark), Brande (Denmark) or Hamburg (Germany). What are my responsibilities? · Analysis, characterization and specification of chemical and physical properties of resin materials for composites · Definition of test methods for material characterization · Contributes to or leads technology development · Have the strategic overview for product and technology development · Collaborate with supplier’s technical staff · Collaborate with internal and external test laboratories · Collaborate with other internal departments, e.g. Process Engineering and Quality What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a degree in chemical engineering, organically chemistry, thermoset plastic or similar · Your have extended experience in working with composite materials · You have knowledge of the bonding between resin and glass fibre · You have a structured approach to your work and a able to handle simultaneous assignments without losing the overview · You possess the ability to work both independently and in teams · You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
