- Research Scientist - Denmark - Måløv Look forward to a key role involving many aspects of IT, including domain modelling, solution architecture, database design, client-server application development and automation in the cross-field between IT, chemistry, biology, biotechnology and other disciplines of life science. About the department Joining Scientific Applications at Novo Nordisk’s R&D site in Måløv, Denmark, you will have 7 highly skilled colleagues dedicated to bridge life science research and computer science. We design, develop and operate specialised computer systems supporting early stages of Novo Nordisk’s drug research across our sites in Denmark, China and the USA. The job Your main objective will be development and maintenance of scientific applications and databases to support both research processes and an end-user community of highly skilled scientists and technicians. Among your tasks you will find analysis of research work-flows, solution design in database systems and consolidation/centralisation of raw data handling. Further, you will have an important role as connection point between IT staff/resources and research laboratories. Qualifications You hold a PhD or an MSc with a solid element of computer science or software engineering in combination with a strong interest in life science. We work in a highly heterogeneous environment but Oracle RDBMS and C# with .Net are among our key technologies. Hence, we expect you to have a broad software technological foundation with fluency in several programming languages and an interest in both relational and document-oriented databases. Experience from implementing IT solutions/automation in a laboratory environment will be considered an advantage. You have good analytical and social skills, and you are self-motivated with the ability to initiate, execute and deliver projects both independently and as a team-member.
