Based at our office in Frimley or Manchester you will have PM responsibility for planning and overseeing the construction and commissioning activities associated to Siemens Wind Powers contracted scope of works. What are my responsibilities? Create a positive forward thinking safety culture within the project team to include both office and site based personnel Budget Responsibility for Pre-assembly, Manning, Cranes, Vessels, Tools and Spares in accordance to relevant processes and procedures. Reporting to the Project Director / Senior Project Manager and Commercial PM Management of client interface regarding Pre-Assembly, Installation and Commissioning Activities Align standardised installation and commissioning concepts to project contractual requirements and strategy, in cooperation with Project Director / Senior Project Manager Responsible for creating and updating the Construction Execution Plan Responsible for the coordination and control of the planning and execution of the transportation of wind turbine components (land and sea), cranes, installation vessel, ports, site set up, manpower, tools, equipment, transfer / accommodation / DP2 vessels and all associated activities in co-operation with the relevant departments and groups Facilitate sub supplier selection within role scope and coordinate contract management of sub-suppliers Functionally lead and manage (within the project environment) supporting groups / sub-team members. Initiate and coordinate relevant activities and tasks within supporting groups including Handling Group setup Budgeting, time scheduling and detailed planning of activities in line with Pre-assembly, Installation and Commissioning activities Support the Project Director / Senior Project Manager in the overall management of Risk & Opportunities and Claim Management Conduct own work in compliance with national and international legislation Conduct own work in compliance with internal Siemens standards e.g. in regards to Quality, EHS, processes etc. Prevention reporting and handling of EHS & Quality issues and incidents wherever occurring Responsibility for the work executed under Siemens contractual scope including EHS matters and compliance to legislative requirements. What do I need to qualify for this job? Strong Project Management skills and experience in budget control and financial reporting Strong experience in complex construction projects, preferably for the offshore industry Comfortable working in an international, multi-cultural team and capable of working effectively across department boundaries in a large organisation Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, both written and verbal Previous Project Manager experience (essential) Educated to degree level or equivalent In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
