The Corporate Strategy function is responsible for driving business intelligence, business planning, corporate strategy & implementation and the transformational M&A agenda linked to corporate strategy. Also, it originates and drives key strategic projects for Carlsberg group to support the organic and inorganic value creation agenda. As a Corporate Strategy Director you will report into the Chief Strategy Officer. The primary focus of the role is to implement our new Corporate Strategy “Sail’22” and drive respective program management office. This will require working with markets and all group functions to secure value accretive business transformation. The role includes leading the annual corporate strategy process as well as providing insights and thought leadership to the Executive Committee to define the strategic agenda. Your key accountabilities and responsibilities: - Lead the thinking and drive senior management engagement for key strategic projects - Spearhead the annual strategy review process - Establish a comprehensive business intelligence function (industry and competitor review) allowing the generation of actionable insights - Co-drive implementation of the new corporate strategy “Sail’22”, manage the program management office (PMO) and be a sparring partner for strategic priority owners We are looking for a candidate who: - Is an experienced strategist and business developer with 10+ years experience; ideally a combination of 3-5 years in top-tier strategic management consultancy combined with operational experience gained with bluechip FMCG organizations, where he/she acquired strong problem solving and operational business development skills - A seasoned business manager who understands the full value chain, key financial metrics and is comfortable at dissecting the P&L to improve both top and bottom line - Comfortably collaborates and communicates upwards, downwards and sideways. Is adept at operating cross-functionally and at managing a complex matrix set of stakeholders. Demonstrates an ability to work across various cultures and geographies. - Exercises strong leadership and people collaboration skills, is a team player and tackles issues with humble confidence - Has strong communications skills in both written and verbal forms, with an ability to keep things simple and infect others with a passion for winning - Excels at project management, staying focused on delivering world class insight-led execution - Graduated from a leading university, an MBA from a top-tier business school is an asset As a person you are an ambitious and outgoing team player with a strong track record in delivering results.
