Nordea's current top priority is to secure Corporate Social Responsibility within Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing as the landscape of threats associated with financial crime and regulations is rapidly changing. Nordea’s Group Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions (GAS) is a new and growing organisation. We are accountable for preventing the risk of non-compliance and we are currently looking for a Data Analyst who is ready to join our effort towards fighting financial crime. The position we offer The position entails a great responsibility and together with 20 highly specialised employees you will have the possibility to use your data analysis skills to help the List Management unit ensure compliance with sanctions requirements on Nordea, in the most efficient and optimal approach. This job is a unique opportunity to become a part of a high prioritised area that is constantly evolving. You will need to be able to understand how to process, structure and analyse data. As Data Analyst, you will have a challenging and interesting job ahead of you. Your role will be to provide support to management decision making through: • Analysis of data and scenarios •Helping stakeholders to understand the implications of changes to lists •Building models and running simulations to improve and optimise our lists and list management processes Our business unit has a strong ambition of being a ‘good corporate citizen’ because we believe that organisations have a vital responsibility for ensuring society’s well-being. The qualifications you need We are looking for an experienced and competent colleague who shares our motivation for working in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment where standards are high and where deadlines can be short. The tasks require a proactive drive to developing scenarios, building reports to help both yourself and management to better understand the data, including trends, exceptions, anomalies etc. and the ability to navigate in a fast paced area with complex big data. On the basis of your past experience, you are used to navigate in a large organisation. You should have experience of data quality principles including text/pattern matching and be self-going with a proactive approach in communicating your analysis. Furthermore, we expect you to have: •Data analysis and model simulation experience (3 years minimum) •Knowledge and experience of data analysis tools, such as SAS, SSPS, R, Python, Matlab •Advanced user of Microsoft office tools •At a minimum a Bachelor degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or Finance/Economics, incl. statictics •Banking project management experience, particularly Nordea would be an advantage •Cultural awareness, with the ability to work in a fluid and multicultural environment. You will primarily run projects with cross-border team members •Strong communication skills with excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) are required Work location can be Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo or Helsinki.
