Use your curiosity and become our big data expert As Data Scientist, you get to dive into large amounts of data, analysing anything from quality of parts and efficiency in our moulding halls to predictive maintenance of our equipment. In doing so, you integrate your own knowledge into a broader perspective on digitalisation within production and support initiatives driven by other Research Engineers, and you: Participate and take a leading role in our "Digitalisation in Production" project alongside specialists across Operations and Global IT Identify and process raw data from the value chain into reports and visualisations that lead to insights Develop a structure that helps analyse and supply data in accordance with business needs, and make recommendations for optimising systems and methods Leverage communication between production/supply chain needs and IT solutions provided by our Global IT department Ensure maximum output and benefits from cooperation with external companies and universities on digital initiatives, particularly activities regarding big data and data management Trusted to perform and reach your potential You will join our Concept Center, which is our front-end innovation function within manufacturing technologies. We interact with relevant departments and functional areas within the LEGO Group as well as with external partners such as suppliers, universities, research institutes, etc. Within our department, you will also find our Concept Factory, which provides a playground for testing new materials, processes and methods. Solid flair for big data and advanced analytics To succeed in this position, it is important that you enjoy looking through and across various sets of data, not necessarily getting to the root cause, but finding actual patterns which we can react on. Also, because this is a relatively new field within the LEGO Group, you feel comfortable working independently and are excited about the prospect of shaping your own position. You will be a pioneer, driving our understanding of what advanced analytics can do for the business. Moreover: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Engineering, Business or similar You have strong practical experience applying advanced data mining techniques to large datasets in order to derive predictive analytics and create multivariate statistical control charts You have a proven track record in working with statistics and advanced data analysis including combining data across functional areas Experience from production or supply chain in a manufacturing company is an advantage You speak and write English effortlessly Bringing it to life "You will be part of a diverse team, where you can learn a lot from talented and innovative colleagues.
