Then we have the perfect job for you in Plant Applications in Vestas, where we work with turning vast amounts of data into value for Vestas and our customers. TSS/Service & Plant Solutions/Plant Applications/Application Development Plant Solutions, part of Vestas Technology, is responsible for the products and services related to combining individual wind turbines into a wind power plant. This ranges across SCADA products, power plant security, electrical grid connection and compliance, advanced radar technologies for aviation warnings, wind turbine diagnostics and performance measurements. Plant Applications is a sub department of Plant Solutions with 30 employees all located in Aarhus, Denmark. We are responsible for retrieving data from wind power plants, storing the data within Vestas and building data driven applications that bring value to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities: Your tasks will be centered on providing database solutions for the large amounts of data coming from our turbines throughout the world and linking this to the web based applications being produced within the team. Responsibilities: Design secure, robust and maintainable database solutions Work closely with Vestas Data Center and other stakeholders in order to provide the right solutions Keep department up-to-date on relevant technology Deliver cost-effective solutions that add maximum value to Vestas and to our customers Qualifications: Relevant IT education such as Computer Science, minimum at a bachelor level. Min. 3 years of work experience with large databases and data heavy applications. Competencies: Personal skills: You have a high level of drive and are able to challenge the existing norms while maintaining flow You have the ability to balance your work between short term / urgent and longer term / not urgent You are driven by results and can get things done Completes work in a timely manner and meets deadlines Contributes to building a positive team spirit and treats others with respect Fosters collaboration toward a common vision and shared goals Technology skills: You are at least MCSA in SQL Server (or even MCSE Data Platform) or have similar real world experience Practical experience with relational databases, Visual Studio, SSDT database solutions, SSIS , SSMS, (T)SQL Capable of getting full benefit from built-in features of SQL Server. Basic knowledge about MDS / DQS (unit) tests and extensive understanding of 3NF and star schema modelling Knowledge about HW and C# Being a former DBA with responsibility for production databases would be a plus. Interest in multidimensional and tabular cubes. Willing to investigate upcoming, new trends regarding R, column store, in-memory, Hadoop, complex event processing and cloud / Azure. Capable of getting full benefit from built-in features of SQL Server.
