About the department Oral Finished Product QC is a newly established department, which will employ approximately 50 skilled and motivated colleagues, who work with validation of analytical methods, and provide analytical support to oral protein products for clinical trials. The department will cover a broad spectrum of analytical technologies. The position As head of the department, you will lead the management group of the department and create the framework for how we in Novo Nordisk, in the future, will analyze tablets for treatment of type-2 diabetes. You will be part of the decision-making process, where your input will be valuable and utilized to decide how to best move forward with the project. You are head of a newly established department, which will consist of three teams with exceptionally competent and engaging team leaders. Your department will be responsible for; Analysis of Oral Drug Product for clinical Phase 3 and launch, Stability of Oral Drug Product for clinical Phase 3 and launch, as well as Project management regarding all raw materials, API and DP analytical related activities. Since the department is newly established, your focus will be to set the department on a direction where key processes are being created and implemented, and lead the department to function as a strong unit. Moreover, you will create a positive and engaging environment, where everyone wants to help each other reach common goals. An important part of this is to secure great focus on internal stakeholders’ needs and ensure constructive cooperation across the departments. If you are to succeed you must be a very visible leader. You set direction and offer sparring and coaching, while focusing on developing the department. Novo Nordisk’s LEAN-tools are a prominent part of your work, assisting you in facilitating improvements and optimizations throughout the department. Qualifications You have a degree within analytical chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent, and you have a master’s degree as a minimum. You already possess great experience as a leader, and you are comfortable in the role as the one who paves the way in a motivating and inspiring manner. Building core activities from the bottom inspires you greatly, and you have experience in doing so in the past. You are able to explain complex structures in a simple and clear manner, and you are capable of making important decisions on a daily basis. If you do not have experience with LEAN in the pharmaceutical industry, you have the energy and motivation to incorporate this in your new job, through a steep learning curve.
