Are you ready for a multi-faceted position, heading a department while also working closely with stakeholders across Grundfos on your own electro mechanical projects? You lead the Stator Development department (ST) where we develop and construct stator systems for all of Grundfos’ motor designs. ST is 1 of 3 departments in the Electro Mechanical Development organisation (EMD), which delivers designs that constitute the electric motors in all Grundfos products. You manage 5 specialists in Denmark and 1 in Hungary, and refer to Manager, EMD, Johnny Overgaard. “This is a fantastic opportunity for a wide-reaching role where you have managerial responsibilities and simultaneously work with project management in an organisation with professional and interesting stakeholders. Also, you will join the management team in EMD, so you will be able to influence how we work” Johnny says. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? As Department Head, you are delivery accountable for the department, ensuring that ST delivers according to agreed specifications and budgets. You provide sparring, coaching and delegation of tasks to ensure the necessary capacity and competences in the department. Moreover, you manage selected product development projects in the EMD streams deliveries, collaborating with stakeholders across Grundfos. Additionally, you are responsible for developing and updating all stator platforms, which constitute the building blocks of the deliveries out of the department. Finally, you become an integrated part of the EMD management team with responsibility for daily leadership of the EMD stream together with the rest of the EMD Management Team. “Your challenge here will definitely be to prioritize your time and to a high degree to be able to delegate tasks, as you will have a lot on your plate. And as Department Head, you must able to navigate both horizontally and vertically in the organisation” Johnny explains. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You most likely have a BA or MA in engineering with proven experience in development and engineering of electro mechanical systems. Either you have managerial experience as e.g. a team leader, or you have project management experience and you are ready for the next step in your career. And it goes without saying that you have technical flair – either from the electrical or mechanical field. “You must be an experienced and robust manager with a holistic approach combined with strong interpersonal and communication skill. And at the same time, you are able to take a detailed and project-oriented approach to product development projects” Johnny finishes.
