Would you like to help manage one of the most ambitious offshore wind farm projects in Europe? Join us and become Deputy EPC Director in our department EPC Directors which is responsible for managing the execution of wind farm projects, from pre-final investment decisions through wind farm construction until transfer to operations. The department is part of Wind Power, which is a large business unit in DONG Energy and has 1300 employees. We are the world's largest developer of offshore wind energy, and the development of our solutions is based on a solid in-house know-how within all aspects of offshore wind power technology. Our project portfolio comprises several major offshore wind projects in Northern Europe, and we have an ambitious strategy for further international growth in the coming years. You may choose freely to be based at one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte near Copenhagen, in our German office in Hamburg or in our British office in London on local terms and conditions. You should, however, expect frequent travelling to our locations both in Denmark and abroad in relation to your work, and you should be willing to work on site in periods during the project execution phase, if needed. Areas of responsibility You will be part of the team of EPC Director Deputies in the EPC Directors department. Your primary task will be to lead an offshore wind farm project together with the EPC Director. You will function as the EPC Director's substitute, when needed. Furthermore, your primary tasks will include to: manage the project and resources within your defined area of responsibility secure the quality of deliverables from teams within your area of responsibility manage HSE manage project risk manage project stakeholders together with the EPC Director. As Deputy for the EPC Director, you will have the overall leadership of a defined scope of the offshore wind farm turn-key project and project supporting activities. Which scope and which supporting activities will be decided on a project-by-project basis by the EPC Director based on your qualifications. Your profile You will have a relevant higher educational background combined with extensive experience within the wind or offshore industries, preferably the offshore wind industry. Ideally, you will have managed large-scale turnkey projects in an international project environment. You will have in-depth knowledge of international project management standards, such as PMI, IPMA or PRINCE2, and experience with stage-gate divided project execution. It is important that you thrive in a job in a hectic, multi-cultural project organisation where the only constant is change. As you will be handling many international stakeholders, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, and that you speak and write English fluently. You will be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective.
