Use your project management skills and impact the future of the Special Projects department

Are you looking for a Deputy Project Manager position with a broad interface to both internal and external stakeholders? And would you, at the same time, like to play a role in developing our Special Projects department?

Special Projects is part of Operations in MHI Vestas. The overall objective of Special Projects is to support planning, management and execution of complex repair and maintenance projects as well as to optimise and develop new methods and concepts for maintenance and repairs. As a Deputy Project Manager, you will be a key player in the department. 

 

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…be involved in several projects simultaneously. You will support Project Managers in planning, defining and executing maintenance and repair campaigns on different sites in Europe. Your job requires you to be in contact and dialogue with many different departments in MHI Vestas, e.g. Service, Technology and Quality as well as a variety of external stakeholders. 

In addition to supporting on projects, you will contribute to the development of our Special Projects Department together with a team of skilled Project Managers and other back office support functions. 

Some of your daily tasks will be:  

• Maintaining good collaboration with the service sites, project site personnel and the suppliers 
• Support planning of projects and campaigns
• Order tools, components, spare parts and materials
• Follow up on deliveries from Engineering 
• Follow up on reporting and invoicing
• Utilisation of resources 
• Ensure updated documentation is available 

 

Skills & experience: Our new colleague… 

…comes from a position as Supervisor, Deputy Project Manager or similar in an international context with many stakeholders. Experience from the wind industry is preferred but not required. From you current/previous position you have gained a solid understanding of and experience with the discipline and tools of project management, and you have successfully handled different internal and external stakeholders in your projects. Moreover, you have a good understanding and knowledge of different IT systems and knows how to utilise and apply your knowledge in a new context.

You are self-motivated and target-driven, and you know how to encourage and guide a team towards the best possible results. You find it easy to handle and reach out to existing and new stakeholders, and you communicate effectively being able to explain complex issues in a professional and understandable way. As a person, you are enthusiastic and can keep the overview and positive spirit even during hectic periods. You are fluent in English, written and verbally, and you are flexible in regards to travelling outside Denmark.
