Would you like to join a team of highly skilled employees working with offshore wind farms? Join us as Design Manager in our Foundations Design department. Together with 34 experienced colleagues, you will be part of a competence centre responsible for developing and constructing foundations for offshore wind turbines for our rapidly growing offshore pipeline. Foundations Design is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in Greater Copenhagen. However, you should expect some travelling in Denmark and to our sites in Northern Europe in relation to your work. You should also expect to work periodically on onshore and offshore construction sites. Areas of responsibility As Design Manager, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team performing structural design of complex foundation structures for our offshore wind turbines, from feasibility and concept studies to detail design and follow-up. You will be responsible for the structural design and interface management, and you will manage and coordinate work between multi-functional teams working with the projects. Your main task will be to deliver complete project documentation for fabrication of foundation structures, including calculations, drawings and specification. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: ensure state-of-the-art design of turbine foundations with continuous focus on technology development facilitate cooperation with third-party certifying agencies to obtain statement of compliance on structural integrity report to the project management of all significant technical issues, particularly risks, and develop contingency plans participate in first article inspections of the structural components at the fabrication work shop report lessons learnt to the product line and engineering managers' team. Your profile You have a degree in structural engineering and several years of experience with design management or project management, preferably supplemented with experience within offshore engineering. As we work in an international environment, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and speak and write English fluently. Furthermore, you will have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey the essence of complex technical information to your stakeholders.
