Are you a theoretically well-founded entrepreneur? And would you like to develop innovative production technologies within injection moulding? Then join the Technology Development team in Grundfos. We are responsible for developing, maturing and verifying new production processes and technologies aiming at making a real difference in Grundfos products. We have the global responsibility in the Grundfos Group and are situated in Bjerringbro. The team consists of 8 specialists, each with their own specialist area, and 2 project managers. We work in a highly collaborative setting, where our ability to share new ideas, challenge ourselves and the status quo and take chances as a team, is crucial. You report to Department Head, Ulrich Hedegaard Brorson: “In the team, we have excellent possibilities to follow our own ideas. You will work with some of the best specialists in Grundfos within production development, and be part of a true knowledge sharing environment. We have an entrepreneurial spirit and are relentlessly ambitious in creating solutions that will make a difference to Grundfos in the long perspective,” Ulrich says. The job: Your primary role is to develop new, innovative production technologies within injection moulding. In doing so, you act as the specialist in developing, maturing and verifying solutions, making the technology ready for production. You are responsible for the entire process, and you will have several interfaces towards both product development and the production. In the early phases, you collaborate closely with product development to ensure that the technology we develop adds value to new product development. And later in the process, you collaborate with the production to ensure that the technology is functional and can be applied to production. “The real challenge is to develop technologies which can add a proven value for Grundfos’ business and at the same time take the chances to exceed boundaries for how we do things today” Ulrich says. Qualifications: You most likely have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. and you need to have experience with the injection moulding technology, focusing on theory and materials. Preferably you have 5-10 years’ work experience in production development or similar. Your English is at a high level, verbally and in writing. “You need to be a risk taker and be motivated by developing new and innovative technologies with the uncertainties and scepticism from the organisation that this may involve. And then you need to be able to communicate and collaborate well with the rest of the organisation,” Ulrich explains.
