We are looking for an engaged scientist for the mammalian cell banking team. About the department Biopharm Upstream Development is situated in Hillerød in new facilities with cultivation tanks from 15 ml to 500 L and GMP a cell banking facility. We cultivate cells in shaker flasks, glass tanks, wavebags, steel tanks and single-use equipment. We have built and qualified our own facility for production and storage of mammalian cell banks. The department consists of 21 persons in two teams: Mammalian Cell Banking team and Bioreaktor team. Our main responsibilities are to develop cultivation processes and to produce and store mammalian cell banks. The department is part of the R&D organisation that manufactures and control pharmaceutical proteins for toxicological and clinical studies. We are continuously improving our procedures using LEAN. Besides development of the product portfolio we put emphasis on implementation of new technologies. The job Your job will be to produce and store cell banks in compliance with GMP together with a team of 2 scientists and 3 technicians. The work will be an equal split between operational work in the lab and documentation. You will be active in keeping our cell bank facility in compliance with internal and external requirements. We expect you to plan, execute and report assignments independently and in cooperation with the departments’ staff. Because we produce and store the starting material for all Novo Nordisk products in mammalian cells you will be involved in audits and inspections as well. Qualification You hold a Ph.D. or master degree as chemical engineer, pharmacist, cand. scient. or similar. Experience with GMP and cell cultivation is an advantage. Moreover you are skilled in cooperation and communicating with persons at all levels and prepared for assignments of different character while still keeping the overview.
