About the job Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will form a part of the Engineering Management Team, where you’ll be expected to engage in operational tasks as well as tactical and strategic planning. Your role is key in helping ensure continuous improvement of our processes, drive successful deliveries of cutting edge products – and continuous development of our employees. The successful candidate has extensive experience in building, leading, and managing high-performing development teams and a successful track record of bringing products timely to a competitive market. You also have a keen understanding of agile development and requirements planning and are always looking for ways to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery. The key to the position is the combination of technical and people leadership. Responsibilities: •Collaborate with – and challenge – stakeholders in Engineering as well as across the Product Department, so together as a team we deliver to our highest potential •Contribute to establishing and improving internal processes that focus on best practices in software development •Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure our programs are properly resourced to deliver on our business objectives •Inspire and coach others, enabling them to acquire new technical skills and grow together with the company •Conduct people management activities for the team members reporting to you and ensure that they have a cool and fun work environment •Involve in talent acquisition and talent management •Ensure appropriate utilization of technology experts to drive synergy and technology re-use Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field is required, those with an MBA, MEE, MME or equivalent advanced degree have an advantage. •At least 8+ years of work experience with architecting, designing and developing web applications •5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams designing and building software products. •Experience working with cross-functional teams and teams located in geographically distributed locations •Possesses a true passion for technology that is readily apparent in past experience and/or personal projects •Hands on development experience with complex systems •Working knowledge of a distributed SCM such as Git strongly preferred •Depth and breadth of experience in various tools and technologies – including but not limited to C#, asp.net, web applications, SaaS, Azure, MySQL •Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills •Well-developed critical thinking and strong organizational skills •Can-do skill set with a will-do attitude •Passion and drive for people management About Sitecore Sitecore is the global leader in experience management software that enables context marketing.
