Director for Business Support to drive transformation of the global diabetes production

DFP ManDev is seeking a dynamic and driven Director with strong leadership skills and extensive expertise driving step-change improvements. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the boldest strategies in Novo Nordisk. DFP ManDev has set out to drive a transformation of the global diabetes production network with the ambition to take down lead time from more than 100 days to less than 7, consequently improving quality, delivery and cost significantly of all Novo Nordisk diabetes products.

About the department
You will report to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of Diabetes Finished Products Manufacturing Development (DFP ManDev) and manage directly a team of approximately 15 employees covering a mix of classical Business Support profiles and business transformation specialists.

Indirectly, you will lead a global group of 25-40 track leads/SMEs from our global sites and staffs functions through a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) which is driven across DFP and which currently consists of 14 improvement tracks to support the transformation.

The position

As Director of Business Support in DFP ManDev you will be instrumental in driving a transformation journey of the global diabetes production network together with key leaders from sites and other supporting areas. In addition to this, together with your department and as member of the ManDev Management team you will have a proactive role driving the cultural turnaround of DFP ManDev needed in the coming years and you will play a key role ensuring effective collaboration with the global production sites. Finally, you will head up the classical Business Support functions in DFP ManDev such as Finance, IT, EHS, Training, and Compliance. 

As head of the department, you will be responsible for managing and developing the department by setting direction, ensuring effective deployment and continuous improvements of all processes in the department in a way which is compliant with the Novo Nordisk Way.
To succeed with these tasks, you will develop strong relationships and secure engagement with key stakeholders, internally and externally. Proactive communication and close collaboration with teams and stakeholders across the organisation is a key success factor for this role. 

You may expect some travelling to the global production sites.

 

Qualifications
You have a solid track record of success in a managerial position preferably in an international environment on senior level. You have in-depth knowledge within Business Support in general, combined with strong experience from the pharmaceutical production industry. 

To successfully handle responsibilities in this position, strong analytical capability and strategic insight must be combined with outstanding stakeholder management and superior change management skills in a global environment of continuous and fast development. Besides that, you have a strong focus on high quality and results. With your natural convincing optimism and drive you can set direction, inspire and motivate your team and build excellent relationships.
