Then you could be our new Director for Local Manufacturing International Operations (IO) Projects QA. About the department Local Manufacturing IO Projects (LMIOP) is a newly established department responsible for establishing and operationalise local production abroad, and LMIOP QA is responsible for quality assurance of these local manufacturing projects. The primary role of LMIOP QA is to deliver QA support to the establishment of new production sites and local QA organisations in countries where local presence is required in order to obtain market access. The job is located in Bagsværd, Denmark, but much of the work will be handled abroad and the job therefore includes travelling. Things move fast in our unit, and the daily operation is dependent on cooperation with internal and external contract manufacturers all over the world. The position As the department is newly established you will assume a key role in building, shaping and developing the way LMIOP QA works with quality assurance at new Novo Nordisk local manufacturing facilities and local contract manufacturers (CMOs) worldwide. You will be the overall owner of the QA part of the LMIOP project portfolio. This includes setting the direction for establishing uniform QMS for all the local assembly and packaging facilities together with the local organisation, and ensuring quality and compliance at local CMO’s. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the QA department transfers Novo Nordisk know-how related to quality processes, GMP requirements and the Novo Nordisk Way when setting up new local Novo Nordisk facilities, local QA organisations or new local contract manufacturers. The job requires the ability to oversee and manage highly complex projects in an international and often cultural and politically challenging environment. The position will be part of the organisational set-up in LMIOP DK with travels to Russia, Iran and Algeria. In your capacity as Director for LMIOP QA you will be member of LMIOP’s management team and project steering groups and, as such, advise on priorities, strategies and direction. Qualifications On a personal level, you have the ability to set direction, drive strategies and engage and energise employees in their daily tasks. You have excellent communicative and cross functional leadership skills, enabling you to build relationships and get commitment from internal, external and international stakeholders. You have an international mind-set and the ability to understand and collaborate in an international environment with respect for cultural differences. Most importantly, you have the following qualifications:MSc. or similar within Pharmacy, Engineering or comparable subject 5-10 years’ managerial experience within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, including QA Fluent in English, both in speaking and writing In addition, you are solution oriented and exhibit a pragmatic attitude when solving complex issues. You combine these traits with an excellent quality mind-set and the ability to balance compliance with product quality and to stay firm when needed to secure quality and compliance aspects.
