Be a trusted legal advisor and leader 
Based at our headquarters in Ballerup, a key part of your work will be to act as the legal project leader, and legal advisor and to be a trusted business partner in the execution of projects/assignments from start to finish. This entails overseeing, managing and driving all legal aspects and workstreams of cross-border transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and other strategic projects. 

You will be part of an international organization, where you will be working closely with colleagues from different parts of the global business as well as top management. Your closest collaboration partner will be our M&A and Strategic Projects department, which consists of six professional and highly motivated colleagues. 

As part of your work you will drive legal due diligence processes and handle internal training in M&A transactions, company law, capital markets and relevant processes and agreements, e.g. Financial Services Agreements. You must be prepared to travel when projects require it, occasionally on short notice, and probably around 40-50 days per year. You will also:

• collaborate with external counsels in Denmark and abroad and monitor their work
• handle deal structuring, contract drafting, deal negotiations and internal sign-off on key decisions relating to the transactions 
• do ad hoc Board presentations and support in relation to the transactions
• participate in post-integration activities relating to the legal track of the transactions
• provide legal advice in relation to company law and capital markets
• participate in Disclosure Committee meetings.

A team of legal experts 
You will head up a small team consisting of yourself and a legal counsel, who is exclusively dedicated to working with M&A, strategic projects and capital markets. Your team also ensures appropriate quality and governance in the transaction processes. 
Master’s in law and M&A experience 
With a high degree of personal integrity and a sense of urgency, you possess the desire to continuously improve processes. Thus, you have a structured approach to providing high-quality advice and meeting deadlines, even when independently managing multiple projects/priorities at the same time. Furthermore, you have strong cross-functional communication and networking skills. You have:

• a master’s degree in law (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.)
• strong M&A and capital market experience from a law firm combined with minimum 2-3 years’ experience from working as an in-house M&A legal advisor
• a strong business understanding
• excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
• management experience of smaller teams, though this is only an advantage and not a must.
