As a Search & Evaluation Director, you will be a driver for change while executing Novo Nordisk’s external innovation strategy and activities on a global scale. The position has high level exposure and increasing focus from top management.

 

About the department

Search & Evaluation creates value by identifying and assessing external opportunities, both drug candidates and technologies to enable Novo Nordisk’s pipeline. We are a global department with 8 colleagues based in Måløv, France, the US and China. We work across the R&D organisation and have key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.

 

The position

Your overall objective is to secure access to novel pipeline assets and enabling technologies to further strengthen our R&D pipeline, as well as building and maintaining strong networks among our prospective therapy and technology partners.

Working cross-organisationally, you will champion external innovation opportunities and be responsible for all relevant processes related to the identification, evaluation, and endorsement of due diligence and support senior management decision making around these.

You will also leverage your network, and actively engage with a broad selection of stakeholders including academia, university technology transfer officers, biotech companies among others, to ensure that Novo Nordisk becomes the preferred partner across of our therapy areas.

 

Qualifications

You have a PhD degree, a medical degree or qualifying experience at same level within life science. This is backed by at least 10 years proven track record of project management, search and evaluation or equivalent R&D role. Preferably, your research, medical training and experience are within the metabolic space.

Your analytical capabilities are at top level - just as your networking, stakeholder management and communication skills. As a person you are outgoing, analytical, a good communicator and function well in a dynamic environment.

You are fluent in written and spoken English, proficient with IT tools and ready to invest time and effort in personal and professional development.
