Job Description

Take charge as our new Director of Strategic Communication in our Danfoss Cooling Segment. With your proven track record, you will lead a strong team of communication advisors in ensuring a strong communication strategy.
 
As Director of Strategic Communication in the Danfoss Cooling Segment, you will be responsible globally for connecting communication and business holistically whilst helping our leaders to translate the business strategy in a transparent, accountable and credible way. As communication allrounder with strong networking skills, you enable your team of communication advisors internally to encourage proactive communication and represent Danfoss Cooling externally, also via digital channels, towards a range of international partners.

​The Danfoss Cooling Segment is the leading supplier to the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. Our mission is to keep people, products and the planet cool. With a wide range of products and solutions, including compressors, valves, sensors, electronics, pumps and heat exchangers, we help our customers put energy efficiency and a sustainable approach first, as we are engineering tomorrow’s cool planet.

This position is for a leader who wants to be part of shaping how one of the innovators in energy efficient technologies communicates in a global environment. You will lead an energetic strategic communications function that supports leaders in executing business projects on leadership and internal communication, as well as public affairs. The right candidate will have both analytical and strategic skills, whilst also having the ability and interest in using these skills hands on.
 
You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the continued development of the strategic communication function and communication strategy together with key stakeholders of global functions
• Leading the production of high quality external and internal communication across channels supporting employer branding and talent attraction
• Aligning and coordinating strategic communication, incl. leadership communication, public affairs and media relations across the organization
• Challenging leadership teams and support general communication, change management, and various critical communication issues
• Active sparring and training on communication offline and online for leaders in Danfoss Cooling
• Developing speeches, presentations, press releases, supporting roll-out of management processes/surveys/campaigns and applying strategic writing skills to create creative copy throughout our internal and external channels (articles, blogs, social media)
• Representing Danfoss Cooling as thought leader in initiatives and organizations and securing internal communication about industry trends, technology, and projects positioning Danfoss Cooling
• Collaboration with the Danfoss Cooling leadership team and the line of business e.g. HR, Segment Marketing, Marcom, Strategy, Group Communication, Industry and Public Affairs, including setting strategies, prepare and execute activities as well as shaping our communication among key target groups

Your ideal background:
You have a proven track record of 6-10 years, ideally in a global organization or communication agency, giving you the business acumen to advise senior leaders. Experience from within the fields of sustainability and public affairs, and work with international organizations are a plus. Your relevant educational background is preferably at a Master’s level, and you have strong skills across the many disciplines within professional business communication.

Location: Nordborg, Copenhagen or Hamburg.
