We are looking for a Distribution Controller in Shipping & Customer Service in the Supply Chain Planning (SCP) CVP area. Reporting to the Shipping Support Manager, you can look forward to a diverse role where you will be key player in setting the future scene within world-wide distribution. About the department Shipping & Customer Service in Novo Nordisk is working in an international and customer focused organisation to secure fast and reliable global import/export in compliance with relevant requirements for Novo Nordisk and our customers. Our most important objective is to secure delivery of Novo Nordisk products – in the right quality and at competitive prices – to our affiliates and direct customers around the world. The job As Distribution Controller, you will be responsible for the financial reporting and report accruals based on invoices from freight forwarders. You will prepare, analyse and follow-up on the global distribution budget as well as our shipping HUB budget in cooperation with the finance department. You will furthermore be the owner of our sea freight performance matrix and KPI and will be conducting ad hoc distribution analysis to support the shipping department. You will work cross-functionally with a wide array of functions including Strategic Sourcing, Finance department, colleagues in affiliates & regions and our freight forwarders. On top of the above mentioned responsibilities, you also will be involved in distribution projects as well as drive and develop distribution business cases, which should be presented to senior management. Here your strong financial analytical skills are required to make sure we take the right decisions in bringing distribution to the next level. Finally, you support our Global Freight Manager in preparing and conducting the world-wide shipping tender including price analysis, prepare for price negotiation as well as contract negotiation. Qualifications To master the job as Distribution Controller you have excellent analytical skills. You hold a Masters’ Degree, HD or the like with excellent results. Distribution and commercial experience is an advantage. You enjoy working in cross-functional teams with many stakeholders and have a “can-do-mind-set”. You have a high level of drive, are enterprising and result-oriented. You structure your own work and are comfortable working both as part of a team and independently with responsibility for your own tasks. Strong knowledge on financial reporting and budget planning is required and you are an advanced user of Excel and SAP R3.
