About the department
You get the opportunity to join an expanding, international and high performing team in Søborg, Denmark, responsible for optimising market access and value communication for the Obesity area. In close collaboration with key stakeholders we establish the strategies and supporting tactics in the area of public affairs, value communication and health economics.

We are part of Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs, and the overall ambition for the area is to secure access to our innovations as well as fostering trust in Novo Nordisk. Amongst other things we are responsible for setting short and long term direction for the company through a clear corporate strategy, driving global market access to our portfolio, developing global brand strategies and launch plans. We are furthermore ensuring insight-based decision making across the value chain as well as ensuring that Novo Nordisk effectively engages with patients, health care professionals, policymakers and other key external stakeholders in order to address the global fight against diabetes and obesity and other serious chronic diseases.

The position
As our new Public Affairs and Payer Engagement Lead, you work cross functionally with a wide array of functions including Medical Affairs, Brand Teams, Corporate Affairs and affiliates.

In this role your primary focus will be to work on public affairs strategies and develop campaigns and tools to be used locally by our sales affiliates in order to change the way obesity is treated and perceived. You will translate clinical and health economic information to value arguments to be used with policy makers and payer engagements globally. You will in addition to this act as partner to national and international organisations at key events where obesity policy is discussed.

A key part of the job is to be part of the preparation of the launch of SemaglutideObesity and work on the preparation of value communication strategies and executable tools, such as white papers, detailers, slide-decks, publications and other tools useful for the sales affiliate market access functions. Project management of public affairs activities for SemaglutideObesity specifically, but also for other cross-functional projects, will be essential. The right candidate will have plenty of opportunities to influence the strategic direction of public affairs for future product launches!

Expected travel activity is approximately 20-30 days per year.

Qualifications
All candidates should have strong communication skills, be innovative, proactive and able to cope well under pressure and enjoy working in cross-functional teams. A proven track record in public affairs will be an advantage. Prerequisites to master the job as Public Affairs and Payer Engagement Lead are a proven ability to translate data into value arguments and campaigns, as well as excellent project management skills.

Prior experience within market access, public affairs, brand marketing, health economics, stakeholder engagement or relevant field-based affiliate functions from the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting is preferred, but we are open to alternative backgrounds as well. Furthermore a relevant master’s degree is essential.
